Logistics firm DHL Express has announced a planned increase in parcel delivery rates in India, averaging 6.9 percent, effective from January 1, 2024. This annual adjustment in prices is a standard practice for DHL Express and takes into account various factors, including inflation.

DHL Express stated, ‘The average price increase in India will be 6.9 percent, with implementation scheduled for January 1, 2024.’ The company also noted that adjustments will apply to several services and surcharges.

R S Subramanian, Senior Vice President for South Asia at DHL Express, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering stable and reliable services amid global economic uncertainties. He highlighted that the annual price adjustment enables DHL Express to invest in enhancing solutions and network flexibility.

DHL Express conducts these annual price adjustments, considering factors such as inflation, currency fluctuations, administrative expenses related to regulatory and security measures, and more. The company operates in over 220 countries and territories, where national and international authorities regularly update such measures. Consequently, the extent of price adjustments will vary from one country to another, based on local conditions, as outlined in their statement.
