Ashish Kacholia is undeniably one of India’s most successful investors, amassing an estimated net worth of over ₹2000 crore. In a recent stock market triumph, he reportedly raked in a substantial ₹25 crore in just a span of three months through a small-cap stock that has been on an impressive upward trajectory.

Over the past three years, this particular stock, known as Balu Forge, has exhibited remarkable growth, witnessing a staggering rise of 134.71 percent in the past six months alone. In the year 2023, the stock has soared by a remarkable 232 percent.

Balu Forge, the company that has taken center stage in Kacholia’s investment portfolio, piqued his interest as he acquired a 2.16 percent stake, equivalent to 21,65,500 shares, at a purchase price of ₹115.45 per share. At present, the stock is commanding a trading price of ₹230.45, resulting in a substantial profit of approximately ₹25 crore within just three months.

The cumulative worth of Kacholia’s holdings in Balu Forge now stands at ₹49.9 crore, as disclosed by ET Now. Balu Forge, established in Belgaum in 1990, specializes in the production of crankshafts for vehicles.

Kacholia’s success isn’t limited to Balu Forge alone; he has also achieved a significant triumph in another corner of the stock market. His initial acquisition of shares in Bharat Bijlee, priced at ₹498 each, has seen them surge to ₹3850 each, delivering an impressive return of 700 percent. This investment spanned a duration of three-and-a-half years.

Bharat Bijlee has exhibited remarkable growth, with its share price surging from ₹2400 to ₹3850 per share in the past year, resulting in a notable 60 percent return for its shareholders. Over the course of two years, the stock has surged from ₹1335 to ₹3850 per share.

Kacholia holds a substantial stake of 1,01,350 shares in Bharat Bijlee.

Back in May, Mint reported Kacholia’s net worth at ₹1947 crore. According to data from Trendlyne.com, as of September 30, 2023, he had holdings in 36 different stocks, collectively amounting to a net worth surpassing ₹2382.2 crore.
